ARE WE READY FOR THE UNEXPECTED?

Where will we hold classes?

Where will we perform research?

How will we order and pay for supplies and services?

How will employees get paid?

What is UC Ready?

UC Ready is a mission continuity planning software tool that is being implemented across the UC system at all campuses, medical centers, and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Eventually, every campus unit at UC Merced is expected to have a continuity plan that includes information on critical teams, functions and activities; plans for performing work in different ways and at alternate locations if necessary, and lists of people, processes, systems and other pertinent information needed to inform and perform during or after any event or disaster (all hazards planning).

How do I get started?

The UC Ready planning process at UC Merced consists of three steps:

  • Preliminary Survey
  • Campus Unit Risk Assessment
  • Hands-on Software Training
